TATTOO REMOVAL
When you have a tattoo the particles of ink are too large for the body to destroy, so instead it encapsulates the particles of ink with a network of collagen fibres as the skin heals, and there the tattoo remains.

How does the laser work to remove it?
The laser sends out very quick bursts of light that target the ink in your tattoo.
Different colours of ink absorb this light, and when they do, the ink is broken up into tiny particles. The pulse happens incredibly fast — so fast that it doesn’t damage the surrounding skin.
Instead of burning the skin, the laser creates a gentle “shock” that shatters the ink into smaller pieces.
Once the ink is broken down, your body does the rest. Your immune system recognises these tiny particles as something that shouldn’t be there and slowly removes them naturally over time.
This is why tattoo removal is done over multiple sessions — your body needs time to clear the ink between treatments.
